That was homemade so quite a bit cheaper but I know what you mean. Unfortunately I don't have any sketch chippies here, they're all poncy. Oh for 1 or 2 of those Edinburgh chippies

Souf bruv. Always overfried batter with the fish soggy inside, and the chips also taste like they’ve been fried in old oil. Tried 3 places, all the same.
You need to try fish and chips on the Hastings seafront or even Brighton. Fresh and pretty decent.

You need to find a decent shop then. Fish and chips here is miles better than anywhere I've had.
