Congratulations! That sounds like a good deal anyway and three years go by in a flash.
Thanks!
The issue comes in, if after three years I decide to switch to a family visa, the clock resets for ILR and I’d need to do another 5 years before I qualify.
I did ask the company what happens after three years and they said they would renew the visa for me for another two years. So I’d actually need to commit 5 years. Or find another sponsor after three years.
Congrats!
Thanks! It’s been a year since I first started this journey and our DMs I think. Man time flies!
I’m watching the weather asl well…38deg this week where we stay in SA. Jesus wept
This heat has been unbearable. 35c the other day. I am looking forward to a cooler climate. Then again I’ll be in Dubai as summer starts there lol
Congrats! That’s pretty standard I think, same with mine but 2 instead of 3 years.
Thanks! Yeah it’s pretty standard I think. I also don’t want to change jobs for awhile. I have changed a bit over the last year. Currently at Luno who lied to me during interviews. Joined them because they said they were open to me moving to their UK branch when the time came. Found out the other week that was a lie and they’ve stopped all internal moves.
Didn’t get it in writing. Lesson learnt and now I have it in writing with new company.
