Immigrating to the UK

oh this is a big problem. I live in a room share house and you know its pay day week because the recycling bin is full of amazon boxes and cardboard sleeves.

BTW Who else makes use of the Shop app?
You can pile cardboard next to the bin too. Provided it’s not wet out(ha ha) they’ll take it.

Use the Shop app only if forced to buy not as a norm.

I’ve been watching Emergency helicopter medics on channel 4. The service these people offer is amazing.

I have serious doubts that you’d get anything near this level of life saving service in SA - even on private.

Must be comforting to know one call to 999 in a life or death situation and you’ll have people coming to save your life with the best equipment and training possible and by people who genuinely love their job.

No hassles around who is paying the bill or which hospital will accept the medical aid etc.

My shame:

I blame my wife. :) At least we have the Amazon day stuff, and all that - most of our orders end up in a big box rather than individual boxes.

We have the amazon day option but I'm too much about the instant gratification

I have the Shop app installed and it keeps track of a ton of things. Not just stuff bought from stores that use Shop, but it also monitors Amazon orders, eBay and Royal Mail deliveries.

Heh, you know it may actually not be as bad as it reads - not sure if you guys know, but Whole Foods Market (aka Whole Paycheck Market) was acquired by Amazon in 2017. So may of those Covid orders (and certainly some of our others), are probably basic things like fresh veggies, bread, etc.

What’s this shop app people speak of?
