Immigrating to the UK

Took this the other evening

Went there for 4 days last year with the wife, was a lovely trip but really expensive. I'd definitely recommend doing it every now and then tbh.

Yeah, nice for a visit, but not to live. Unless overpriced city living is your kind of thing, obviously.

Exhibit A.
Did I complain? Or is the skin that fragile from the cold.

People complaining about complaining about UK when in fact you are complaining about SA when those complaints can be levied against the UK as well.

To be fair the UK is ****, its filled with Saffas.
Really that many? Apart from occasional nurse in NHS bi*ching about ANCfied & violent SA, I didn't really hear about seffricans from my extended family. It is always some nurse though..

Well

- Water is about to collapse from being full of ****
- Electricity is over priced like hell
- lol, current government stole more than Zuma ever could and destroyed more that it makes him blush.
- A rising unemployment.
They do it in a very elegant & sophisticated manner though. Give credit where credit is due. And no silly enquiries or commissions on jobs for pals / PPE scandals that happened mainly in covid period.

I really don't know, doesn't the UK have the most Saffa expats?

Sometimes you read between the lines an its the saffas I try to avoid.

I work with a few, as does the missus. Not nurses, souf effricans. Still a minority compared to other foreigners. Much more variety over here compared to the typical South African 4-pack.

Just remember it still happens so rarely it’s a scandal. In SA, it’s just a Wednesday.
Of course but since that Gupta guy became chancellor of exchequer and now PM, I am sure you will agree that British moral standards have fallen since then.

Mortgage application has been accepted so now it's time to spend money on solicitors and all the things. Just shy of R10m of debt coming right up. That's if the surveys don't find anything particularly disastrous. Oh, and apparently the fibre Internet where I'm buying is ****, so I'll probably have to get two providers, one for speed, one with FTTC for reliability.
