I don’t understand how people didn’t know. It wasn’t an overnight thing. Do they live under a rock?
 
Well that was, again, far quicker than in SA. More people working at the poll than actually voting. Wife made an interesting comment: all the candidates just have the party logo in black on the ballot. Far cry from SA where it’s as long as loo roll and has the candidate’s photo and party logo in colour.

Does anyone know where I can get a list of items I'm not allowed to bring into SA in my luggage?

I might be making a trip back for a week and want to take some foods and things from here for friends back home to experience.

Finding official information on what I can and can't bring is such a pain compared to the UK gov website.

Just check that you don't bring things you can buy locally.

I am pretty sure most of the rules will be airline dependant as in the usual no liquids etc.

Hope it can't be as stringent as Aus/NZ but haven't been back since Brexit so they could have changed some rules since you know, they don't follow EU rules
 
Anyone have a safety deposit box in the UK?

We still have ours from Metrobank from about 10-12 years ago - we never brought all our (my vrous) jewelry and other crap back. But it's costing like 360£ a year for it now (small box) - wondering if there are cheaper alternatives in London area?
