It's not even fair to compare the iPhone to a N73. :p Sorry Apple, stick to iPods. :p

Found my E90 lying on the floor today. Damn phone had managed to vibrate itself off the desk. Never had this problem with my 9500.

E90 plus point - vibrates
E90 minus point - vibrates

Phone seems alright though.. Tough bugger.

Congrats Hintry on getting my dream phone E90.

iPhone a very nice toy to have. I watched the 25 min intro to iPHONE clip and it made me want one. Sexy thing, would not use it as a phone but a ipod and their best ipod so far.

The law of gravity is one of the main reasons I wouldn't fork out too much cash on a phone. Phones are like apples (iPhone :D).

As I already mentioned, widescreen web browsing on the E90 is amazing.

All of my frequently visited websites are rendered quickly and correctly. This includes ABSA Banking, Kulula and various forums. For the first time ever I am able to do long internet sessions on a mobile phone. Although be aware that 2-3 hour internet sessions at HSDPA speeds impacts battery life. By 8pm I am getting 'battery low' warnings. I'll probably put a charger in at work.

Few negatives... Symbian Series 60 (3rd Edition) is dumbed down. The built in browser doesn't allow you to select text from a webpage, nor does it allow you to open multiple webpage sessions. Windows Mobile is clearly ahead here. (I've owned a JasJar and considered a TYTN recently)

- another post from my E90, something that I would never consider from a non full QWERTY keyboard device (N95, iPhone, etc) or smaller screen.

Screenshots of local websites

To give some idea of what local websites look like... All except Google are 'Full Screen' mode.

Google
Kulula
Keo
Absa
Myadsl

I used a freeware utility called Screenshot to capture the screens.

The WS browsing looks great.

As an aside, my T9 and QWERTY typing abilities are very close (especially when we're talking cellphone QWERTY). I have made quite a few posts on this forum with the N95, so it's just a matter of habit. I suppose the fact that I used to send 1000+ SMSs a month helps.

I'm opposite. I get bewildered and promptly give up when required to type on numberpads.

How about URLs? T9 don't help there.

Yeah, URLs and typing in my mother tongue (Serbian) leaves me without T9. Fortunately because of the latter, I am quite fast on the normal tap - typing too - but I realise that this is not the case with everyone.

I know what you mean, the idea of typing on a phone pad is ludicrous to some people, and I can understand that.

Do you also speak so fast?:p

Well, it's more loud than it's fast, but to an English speaking person, it sounds bloody fast. :)

EDIT: Unless we're talking salesman "fast" here?

That's the whole point - it's so much more than "a phone" that it justifies the high price. Not 11k though, that is just typical SA greed, as well as the fact that the Nokia shop is in Vodaworld, where they want you to sign contracts.

R8500 in exactmall is far more realistic and in line with the world prices.

8.5k sounds better, but damn man....
That is still a bucket load.

So far ... all I can see that is great is the web browsing that is awesome. And it has GPS...
