That's the whole point - it's so much more than "a phone" that it justifies the high price. Not 11k though, that is just typical SA greed, as well as the fact that the Nokia shop is in Vodaworld, where they want you to sign contracts.
R8500 in exactmall is far more realistic and in line with the world prices.
I am using the N73 atm, which also has a great browser IMO, great camera and good battery life.
All I can see so far that I do not have is the GPS. Does this sound roughly correct (there are probably the screen sizes and colour resolutions and other 'stuff' that are different as well, but I am talking about the 'big' differences).
And yes, you are correct, needs reign supreme.
Anybody found a decent pouch?
hhmm, ok, I can see why some would go for it...N73 = no wifi, no landscape browsing, 200Mhz processor, 116 g, candy bar
E90 = 2 screens, keyboard, 330Mhz processor, 210 g, mini laptop
I have a super-dooper laptop for all of the above
I can't/don't want to have to use/carry my laptop with me when I am going for a lunch meeting/flying somewhere/on holiday. That's why a convergent device is so important to me.
I leave my laptop at the office and don't even take it home. I use my I-Mate to surf the web, for emails, editing documents etc at home. The E90 is definitely the most advanced compact device at the moment.
I think the HTC Advantage is.
It'll defintely make a great paperweight. Its way too big (133.5 x 98 x 20) and heavy (359g)
E90 size (132 x 57 x 20) and weight (210g) is just right.
Maybe the new Toshiba G900, but i read the screen is unreadable outdoors.

I consider the E90, HTC Advantage & G900 on more or less equal terms. It ultimately boils down to the useability of the device.
Who knows, I may even consider getting a WM device sometime later, although it means getting over the painful expieriences I had with a Jasjar.
I think the HTC Advantage is.
I know the HTC Advantage is probably the most advanced, and I am a big Windows Mobile fan. But I said that the E90 is the most advanced "compact device". The advantage is huge. But wait until the HTC Kaiser comes out, now that will be a brilliant device to own.
