Increase download speed ?

I'm downloading a torrent, however p2p is shaped on my side. Is there any way i can increase the download speed even just a little bit by use of an app, or to jippo something in some way ?

Shaped torrent downloads crawl. Getting 10kb/s max. Funny thing is upload speed rockets, at 47kb/s.

If you're using uTorrent, change the protocol encryption to "Forced" on in the Preferences > BitTorrent tab. Should work...

No - if its shapped then your being thottled. Nothing you can do.

You probably downloading from a source with not much seeders, or you have no port forwarded on the router for the P2P to connecting through

iv fiddled with most of the utorrent settings to try &increase speed, in the end nothing really works. the best option is just to leave it on the factory default settings, make sure the correct port is forwarded and that there are many seeders. if u want to step up your downloads rather look at making use of usenet. just google it. u can download what ever the max speed your line will possibly go
