Incredible's Connection Packages feedback..

Hey guys..

I signed up for this account the beginning of March 2014. As this was new to me I downloaded like crazy as with any new toy one gets :) My star rating dropped down to 2 which seriously affected my downloads and streaming. After researching a bit via this forum, I found the trick....

Scheduled my NZB downloads for between 23:00 & 06:00 and voila - Up to 4 stars within 2 days and happy as can be.

No complaints with this bargain of an account

Just want to say Im also still very happy with this account. But what is weird is I haven't downloaded anything for 2 days and im still on 3 stars like I was at the beginning of the month. I also want to add I did not really see a difference in performance between 5 and 3 stars.

Anyone here downloading NZB files using this account?

Are these downloads also treated as torrents and download speeds so slow it's non existent during the day?

Download between 23:00-6:00 or get a Telkom Internet account if you one of those "download 24/7" types.

Even at 2 stars these accounts fly after 5pm and all weekend.

Ok dunno if you being sarcastic now but I know that.
I was just inquiring if nzb downloads are treated the same as torrent downloads.
If you were sarcastic then I suggest you rather not reply to any thread if you don't have anything constructive to say.

Thanx for your reply though.

I hadn't had my coffee yet, sorry.

Yes, NNTP and P2P are treated similar.

I was double billed for this month. Waiting for the finance dept to get back to me.

Where do you check?

In the Connect clientzone I would imagine.

There is no mention of a 2nd debit there for me this month tho'.

/scratches head.

The amount debited on the 1st is exactly the same as the amount debited now on the 11th... will need to check with FNB, but when I compare the previous FNB debit to today's, they are the identical except for the reference number.

I thus assumed it was the Connection 2nd debit.

I'm sure they will pick up the problem themselves and will correct itself.

Let's see what happens with the next billing cycle.

At least they don't break the bank :D

Ahmen brother... indeed!

WebAfrica seem incapable of running their debit orders, and do not bother letting me know, and today I just happened to check, and voila, 3 invoices sitting there, unpaid, no reason, no notice, there is / has /was money in the bank for them, and my banking details are correct.

I wonder when they are going to run these now ?

/sigh

Ye, WA is a different story. Their new billing system is a bit FUBAR at the moment, and has been for a while, so hopefully they almost have a grip on the situation soon enough.

I don't really stress about billing problems as it's all on record, so I would wait until the storm is over and their heads aren't spinning, then bring it up.

Strangely enough, looking at my previous records on the Connection CP, it seems like they never run last month's debit.

Torrents coming down at 1-5 KB/s
HTTP downloads doing about 30 KB/s

I'm on 4 stars, using a 2Mbps line.

Switched over to an Mweb capped 5GB account and it resumes normal speeds.

Incredible have sorted out my double billing issues over the weekend :)

I just canceled my Incredible Connection ADSL due to bad service from a company part of the JD group of companies(And I let the CEO of JD group of companies know of that fact as well). Bought a car through one of their companies (Unitrans Motors) well over a month ago. I am still waiting for registration papers and licence disk. Sales person never returns calls and only makes promises to look into it.
