Unfortunately, that is out of the realm of most users.

I have a Synology NAS which I have the Surveillance NVR license for, I will be ditching my Sonoff cameras for Uniview PTZ simply because of this lack of thought from the Sonoff people.

Which sucks, because I like Sonoff, my whole place is sonoff, (but ewelink) no flashing or funny business.
 
Sorry if this is a dumb question, but is it possible to have the Sonoff GK-200MP2-B lan only (after initial setup), so that is no stream going out on the net from camera directly?

Most IPCam software will be able to connect to the RTSP stream from the camera. I am using TinyCam on Android. Set up the camera with Ewelink, and give it a static IP in the camera settings. It also gives you the option to create an RTSP link that you then add in TinyCam. After that you no longer need Ewelink or internet on the camera as far as I can see. Only problem is the PT on the camera does not work this way, you will have to use the AlexxIT setup in HA or Ewelink again to move the camera.

Thanks. I was thinking RSTP to my motioneye I have running in HA. I use AlexxIT already for some switches.

Edit: Currently I use motioneye for recording based on movement detection.

I am headed down the rabbit hole :ROFL: I got the two Sonoff GK-200MP2-B camera's and two of the Basic Smart Switches setup using eWeLink and then easily got the feed from the two camera's in to my HIKVision NVR. I am busy with setting up Home Assistant on a Raspberry Pi that @Gielie01 gifted me unexpectedly but I buggered it up already so have started again so I can get Sonoff LAN setup and ditch eWeLink.

I'll let you know, I mistakenly loaded a 32 bit version of HA so am redoing it with a 64 bit version :X3: It takes me a while though, I am no programmer or software dev, I know enough to be dangerous and Google the rest.

I am in the same situation. Check on Youtube for TheHookUp or DrZzs, they have good video's for setting up HA.

I am using a few different ones, @Gielie01 tipped me off to install the Visual Studio Code add on as I was struggling to find the config folder to add the HACS folder setup. I am busy setting up HACS so I can setup Sonoff LAN in between doing work, looking at wedding venues and spending time with my fiance and son.

HACS and Sonoff LAN are setup, looking for a way to feed the Sonoff cameras in with PTZ control but also playing around randomly with whatever I come across.

@Gielie01 and I have been at this rabbit hole, since I moved into my new place last year Dec. No end in sight - much to our wife's dismay. \

My current HA setup does a fair amount and there's still more to add + tweak. Its never ending.

Yes but that is the fun part, always more stuff.

If I have to get driven over by a bus my soon to be wife will probably have to pay someone to remove all my toys :)

As I said to @Gielie01, what I know and understand is dangerous and I use Google to become even more dangerous :ROFL: It is frustrating at times but rewarding when I get something to work, even just for a few minutes.
