Moved into a new house and it's got 4 of these bullet cameras installed around the property. I can only see the cameras, the rest of the equipment seems to have been removed.

What is the better option:
1.) Remove and replace with IP cameras?
2.) Some sort of analog to IP camera conversion so I can view from my phone?

Do you want something just for now or to future proof and perhaps even expand?

If only for now you would still need some DVR to plug those into then access that using an app. Not sure how much 2nd hand DVRs cost

Getting 4 IP cams with an 8ch NVR will set you back 4 - 6k depending on the spec

If you are happy with the number of cameras and the picture quality, the cheapest will be to just get a DVR. Most will let you access over the internet as well.

If you want to change them POE cameras are nice.

the better thing to do, would be to throw away that rubbish and burn it with fire.

then replace them with ip cams, which is also the more expensive thing to do.

you can however get ip cam and nvr kits, not the best of quality but cheapish.

Depending on the ambient lighting, an AHD system with 2MP AHD cameras and an analog DVR is not that expensive. I have 2 ColorVu cameras and 8 X 2MP Bullet cameras and I and my friends are very impressed with the day and night picture quality. A 4 camera system with a DVR shouldn't be more than R 2,500.00
See below for visuals (Night time pictures without my LED security lights
