Install USB printer on linux server

Wanna ask how do i install a USB printer on linux server,

Okay, where to begin....

First off, the square flat thingy goes into the back of the server that has a same sized hole thingy...

Seriously, what make is the printer (model number as well). Are you going to share it with Linux clients or a mixed network (Linux and Windows)?

How is the network shared, open or secure user access?

What distro you using? It is usually the best bet to read the distro's website, docs, wiki for a printing how-to, makes the task 100 times easier.
