I've moved to Sundowner, in a brand new town house, I'm in a bit of a panic from this sms from Telkom.

What now? Do I just wait?

I do of course have a 3G dongle that I'm using in the meantime.

Sounds familiar. Moved into a house April 2010 - new area. The rest of the estate already had ADSL & lines, so I thought it was logical that I would get as well.

Fast forward 2 years later and Telkom has still not budget. I unofficially heard that they only investigate installing lines after most of the construction in the area is finished. I've been told I would get an update in June...

It doesn't mean anything, friend of mine had the exact same SMS sent to him. He phoned them to find out and they told him he could ignore it. They hadn't even sent out a technician to investigate. He lives in an area which has ADSL as I have ADSL in that area, and I actually had ADSL in the same unit where he is staying in at the moment.

Got that from them 3 years ago in PE wen I moved to a new complex. In short, if it is anything similar to my experience you're screwed. Go to 8.ta and get cheap 3G.

I certainly doubt they sent anyone, it took me half an hour to explain to them where the new house is

I applied for the promo in January ... Received that SMS in February ... And they installed it end March
