I was biased against AMD for so many years. Mostly compatibility issues for many applications in the good old days meant a lot of software would behave badly. Over the years AMD has remained a good competitor on price but now they absolutely murder Intel in almost every way. I now have an AMD Ryzen 5 3600X and its the best machine I have ever owned.

Dude this is exactly what I'm talking about. Nobody claimed anything is perfect. It's about the comment about the fans. We are fans precisely because AMD offers better value that Intel is unable to match. The thread wasn't about who is better or not. Funny how so many of us never encountered these isolated issues you dredge up. Maybe you should get your head removed from somewhere.
