Interconnect chaos

If this "show" haven't started who would have forced something to be done? ICASA? Don't think so. MTN and VODA will keep the rates as is.

Naw, it maybe unorganized but its something. At least it gives Cell C the chance to be more competitive.

Here's an idea: let Icasa finish what it has started. The regulator is set to meet with operators again on Friday.

What is Hilton smoking today? My word. When has ICASA ever finished anything that it started in this space? And even when the do finish something, it's a huge waste of paper. Did he forget about the heinous ADSL regulations? I think the DoC involvement is way overdue. Vodacom and MTN are bleating like lambs to the slaughter, yet they've been ripping us all off for years in the name of corporate profit. It's time for the wheel to turn and ICASA has certainly been nothing but the thick stick in the spoke of the wheel of progress!!

OK, I'm not saying ICASA wouldn't have gotten this issue sorted out in a reasonable time frame, if at all. But seriously! Their track record doesn't instill confidence.
Heck, who am I kidding? I am saying ICASA would never have sorted this out cos they're useless and if you think otherwise, "Hilton", then I want some of what you're smoking, please.

I stopped reading the moment I realised the author was defending ICASA...Is he retarded? Or just high ?

The article is there to deflect from the point that the telcos are ripping the consumers off. There is no reason for not having an immediate cut in the interconnect fee. This is another of those questionable statements that attempts to confuse the weakminded.
