Intermittent fasting

The worst part of this experience is that I now have to buy all my pants again in a smaller size.

Yeah I know, sucks doesn't it.

( But according to some eating LCHF and doing intermittent fasting is doing irreparable harm to our bodies. So they say as they eat their pizza and sink into their couches. )

Didn't read through all the posts, but for the last I don't know how long, I have been eating 1 meal a day. I only eat dinner and some snacks after dinner. Kept my weight constant over the years... Probably not the healthiest diet in the world, but I feel ok.

Giving this intermittent fasting business a go.

So far it's going pretty well - skipping breakfast is a lot easier than I thought it would be.

Good luck. The first bit is the hardest. Once you figure out what works for you it gets easier.

The most difficult thing has been getting over the habit of eating at certain times in the day.

I found that the biggest challenge too. I found having a water bottle to sip on the whole time helps. After a while you don't even think about eating anymore.

I am also trying it, coffee helps. A lot.

Entering my third week of IF. Been a LCHFer for years but put a lot back on as a result of year long ankle injury and reduced urge to get moving.

I am fasting 2 to 3 times per week, for 24hrs at a time. Eat supper at 7pm and then fast 24hrs until the next days supper. On a fast day I have coffee with a splash of milk at 8am, 10am and lunchtime - fills me up and I have no hunger pains. Weight is coming off nicely and I am saving big bucks from buying way less food.

I'm not sure I could manage 24hours...

Would you suggest skipping breakfast or dinner for best weight loss?

What is your weigh loss per week?

Once fat adapted, it is not bad. When I fast on a working day, I am so busy I don't get a chance to feel hungry. I am on a 24hr today, and being a Sunday, this morning was fine but a slow Sunday arvie at home is making me a little peckish. Will make supper at 6 or 7 easily though.
