Intermittent fasting

Wow, that's a lot. Are you doing any exercising or gyming? I would imagine that I could exercise, but probably on a non fasting day.

No gym or exercise other than my 8500 step a day dayjob and 2 young kids. When I lost 26kg's on LCHF I did include cardio 4 to 5 times. This time I don't really have time for gym, hence IF will offset tge reduced daily calorie expenditure. I should lose at the same rate or slightly more compared to LCHF plus cardio.

I've lost tons of weight fasting and I still unofficially fast. I don't have breakfast, nor lunch. Coffee in the morning and water later in the day. Only eat supper. Works a charm.
Also save tons of money wasted on food.

Same here. Except for weekends when I eat from 12pm.

So what do you do to stop the hunger?

And do you gym as well? I think I would feel so weak if I had to fast that much and till gym at night

I think the hunger wouldn't be too much of an issue after too long.

I think a lot of hunger has to do (at least in my experience) with the habit of eating at certain times and knowing you'll feel hungry if you don't eat at that time.

Once you break that habit it does become a lot easier.

I can quite easily hit the gym with heavy weights in the morning, then only break the fast at about 12 or 1. I do take in some BCAA's in the morning though. Don't know if I'd only be able to do only eating at night, but hey, I didn't think I'd be able to do the whole IF thing in the first place. It's all habit

Thanks!

I want to give this a bash. Got a bit of body fat forming...I don't like that :p

Your body gets used to it and funnily enough, the coffee I drink does wonders to eliminate my hunger pangs. I don't gym. In fact, I don't exercise at all. This will change as we head into summer, but I can't recall when last I exercised. You just need to let your body get used to fasting.

Lost a few kgs in the past 2 months on LCHF and IF (12 hours) every 2nd or 3rd day.
Took the IF to 16 hrs for a few days recently to overcome a weight loss plateau (together with some HIIT). It worked after a week. Plateau has been overcome.
I had a big lunch around 2pm yesterday and thought it would be a good opportunity for me to stretch the IF to 24 hrs for today. So now i am currently 20 hrs into the IF. Feeling good so far. Just had 2 cups coffee and water since the early morning.
Belly fat is just the worse thing to get rid of....
