International connection KEEPS dying using RouteSentry..

I think webafrica prepaid is saix. and i've had lots of crap on my international account the past few days, so I don't think it's a routesentry problem...

im using 2 IS accounts atm...one international the other local only...and its actually only some sites that are timing out...eg google is working fine....might just be a IS problem

HaNsA do you remember changing any other settings besides those in the RouteSentry instructions? Or any settings on your router page? What router are you using BTW?

I might've changed some obscure setting and maybe that's what's causing the international connection to go dead occasionally.

I'm having the same thing, but I really don't think RouteSentry is the problem. Last Sunday my international went down and I was experiencing exactly what you describe. Thursday it came right again and now its disconnecting again. I'm also running webafrica prepaid. I've contacted them and they say everything is fine, as does telkom. So now I am lost.

Well, if I use the International dialup connection like normal on it's own while the router is in bridge mode then everything is fine. No timeouts or anything that I've experienced. But running local and international together with RouteSentry seems to cause trouble.

Another example that shows the international account is dying out is that if I'm busy on these forums and I load one of the page from mybroadband then I notice in Firefox's statusbar at the bottom that everything will load except the google-analytics.com part, which I assume is international (duh). I'm really desperate to find out what is the problem because I really can't stand having to click the "Set up routes now" button EVERY time international starts to PMS.

And now I have the same problem all of a sudden! Never had this problem before :(
Router:Telkom 100WR
International: WA SAIX Prepaid
Local: WA 10GB IS

What changed recently?: I hard reset the router this morning.

think it is the INTL connection, mine is down too.

The problem just went away by itself for me, but SOMETIMES used to just creep back. I'm only using one account now so not using RouteSentry at the moment.

Try pressing the set up routes button to save yourself the hassle of disconnecting and reconnecting.

Ok.

International Account "Dead" again. It's connected, but no data coming through. The thing that is bugging me to death at the moment is:
I can still surf international sites
on my Local Only account

albeit slowly – super slowly <1kbps

How is that even possible?!

How do you know it's loading through the local account? Are the lights on the little monitor icon of the local account lighting up?

Jip. The Int lights are not doing anything. The local one is going crazy.

Just to make sure:
I killed the Int connection and disabled Routesentry.
Now it's just the Local account running.
And Google loads after some wait. But I guess that was in the cache anyhow.
Even the news section if i give it time - Now im reading my GMail spam.
I just downloaded a 46KB file from a international site (took +-3 minutes).Impossible that these could be in the cache.
And:

What happens when you change your setup to be as if you only have the international account? That is the router is in PPPoE mode and the international account details are put in there.

My router has the Telkom Guest account on it still. It connects to that every time - does not bother me. Each of my PC's connect to their own seperate account(s) as needed. I ran on the International only account for some time yesterday - no problems. I switched over to the International+Local Only accounts with routesentry and the problem manifested itself again.
