International down?

I can't believe they still have not sorted this shyt out. The connection is on and off wtf

A russian bride will probably be more satisfying than v3g right now

The problem continues tonight...

No update from vodacom3g, I see, so this is the news as I got it from the call centre this evening.

The problem is thought to have started early evening last night "based on the increase in call-in volume."
There is a connection problem between "certain towers and certain websites"
What caused it is unknown.
The fix and when it might happen is not known. Nearest estimate:
"Hopefully by the end of the week"

Whether that means Friday or Sunday who knows. And the "hopefully" isn't that encouraging either.

Am I the only one that finds the fix for the wrong DNS problem and the start of this one as being pretty close together?

Me from Pretoria, same problems here as you all, pop3, etc working, but general browing internationally, is either extremely slow, or timing out :(

same problem here from Durban central! I am so livid right now! and this no carry over rule means I will lose my 167MB remaning data if I do not use it...WTF!

our tower just went down in my area Lol.. wonder whats going on there

Yeah that also makes me angry. Why is it that it has to expire. I lost almost 1/2 a gig once when vodacom was down and it was a case of "tough luck".

Sorry only saw this thread now.....

And I'm miffed that you find a sexy, young, nubile Russian girl more 'satisfying' than myself.

But I'm busy checking up what's going on. Seems the Kzn problem was fixed earlier today but it certainly does not look like it....

It seems much better tonight than last night - I only logged on at about 22:30, so I don't know what it was like earlier.

At least speedtest.net is working this evening - I did a test to New York and got 413 ms Ping, 1429 kb/s down and 91 kb/s up.

Jo'burg had 286 ms ping, 2393kb/s down and 288 kb/s up. That's not bad considering I'm to tight to pay the R49 a month for 3.6

speed.vodacom.co.za/speedtest gives 2178 kb/s down and 326 kb/s up.

I'm in Hilton, about 100km inland from Durban, so perhaps the problem is between the coast and here, and I've got all their bandwidth to myself for the night...

It looks like we're up and running on international again.

Thanks again vodacom3g.
