Hiya,

The last 48hrs we seem to have extremely bad international connections. We have a 4mb line on MWeb Uncapped service.

Speedtest results locally seems ok-ish with a 35ms ping and 2.5mb dl and 430k upload.

However, doing a Speedtest tst to the UK resulted in a 256 ping (ok cool!), BUT, the download portion won't even start!!!

Any ideas how to fix? Port reset? Change ISPs?

I also had similar problems last night (actually early morning...around 2AM), with international downloads not going faster than 20kB/s. Some time between then and 10AM today the connection dropped, and I had to reboot my modem to regain connectivity. Since then, though, it's been blazing along. Also, a few days ago MWEB seemed to have DNS resolution issues, which they've fixed by the look of things. Your PC could have cached the 'bad' DNS info, resulting in access problems. I suggest you try the following, in no particular order:

* Reboot modem/router
* Change your connection context to @dlsmweb.co.za or @mweb.co.za (Whichever you're not using currently. This is an easy way of ensuring a new IP address being assigned to you)
* Flush your DNS cache (For Windows: Start -> Run -> Type "cmd" -> ENTER. In command prompt type ipconfig /flushdns)

i am work atm ,seems fine .

just downloaded 175mb torrent in less 10 min, was going at 600kbs o.0

Hi Dareno

We are not aware of any international browsing issues, are you still experiencing problems?

Kind regards
MWEB Operations

Having international access issues. Router restarted and DNS flushed. Anyone else?
