what happens when your add is "not allowed" ? you have to remove it? yet it takes a week or two at least for this too happen, most add's run for a few weeks only anyway, so whats the motivation for telkom to "fix" their adds? absolutely nothing

Remember a couple of years ago when BMW ran that ad over the long weekend with the car spinning and creating the Audi rings they had to submit all their ads to the ASA for advance approval for 6 months. They should implement something similar for Telkom.

telkom still have an attitude problem. compared to the rest of the 'enabled' world they are like the vague shadow of an old manual two slice toaster in a rickety house with infrequent power supply.

thing is..they advertise saying they are the best...people see it...believe it...then the add goes away...no one knows it was untrue. There should be an apology from the idiots for false advertising. I like the idea that their ads should be filtered before going to the press. that's the only way.

I second that. They should make them run adds for six months stating the opposite. That they are the reason bandwidth is so expensive and they should list the isps that are cheaper where you get extra local bandwidth. That would be justice.

I think that someone should find out how many ads Telkom have had pulled.... and then this can be put into the Telkom fact file, which can be used for customer info campaigns

for example: Telkom SA has had to withdraw eight advertisements because the ASA (Advertising Standards Authority of South Africa) has found them to be misleading or inaccurate
