Make sure that you don't have a proxy server configured in Internet Explorer. If you do, then Google Chrome won't work either.

If it is not a proxy configuration problem, then ensure that your DNS & Internet is working by opening up Command Prompt and running the following commands inside the Command Prompt window:
Code:
ping 8.8.8.8
nslookup www.google.co.za

The first command should return something in the line of:
Code:
Pinging 8.8.8.8 with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from 8.8.8.8: bytes=32 time=xxx ms TTL=xx
Reply from 8.8.8.8: bytes=32 time=xxx ms TTL=xx
Reply from 8.8.8.8: bytes=32 time=xxx ms TTL=xx
Reply from 8.8.8.8: bytes=32 time=xxx ms TTL=xx

The second command should include a section with:
Code:
Non-authoritative answer:
Name: www.google.co.za

If the first command failed, then you don't have Internet or international cap left.

If the second command failed, then your DNS or internet is not working.

Insert this into the address bar of Windows Explorer/ My Computer:

ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/latest/win32/en-ZA/

Download and install Firefox.
This will only help if its a browser problem.
