Internet timed out

Hi guys. So glad I can log on here as I need to ask a question. My home page is yahoo.com ok. Now my question is this comes up when I try loading that or google.com but I can log on here. Why do you guys think this is happening??

Sounds like you've contracted a virus - malware.

Suggested remedies:

- Get some antivirus - AVG (http://free.avg.com/) or Avira (http://www.free-av.com/).
- Re-install windows.
- Install Linux.

Or maybe you have a mad proxy setup? Have you tried rebooting?

I got Nprton anti virus.

I have robooted the computer and the modem as well. And the internet is capped. For anti virus, isnt nortons supposed to be the best??

what about google.co.za which is local.. I assume you have local bandwidth available

Same problem with me - also in Cape Town. I can browse local sites but not international.
