You'll get RC tonight or whenever it's released
Cool, so if I want the official release (non beta) must I delete the beta profile after installing it today?

How will it affect my Apple Watch? Do I need to do the same thing or will it still pair?

Doesn't affect your Apple Watch. I'd actually recommend leaving it on so you get the RC early. Then delete afterwards to go back to the normal release cycle

So reading between the lines and as a complete noob to beta software, if I want to get iOS 16 tonight (or whenever you beta folks get it), can i download the beta profile and not install the beta iOS, or would that need to be installed to get the RC when it comes?

In other words, I've got the profile installed and I already have the option to install beta 6 (4.96gb), just wondering if I need to or if having the profile is enough.

Just wait for the RC I suppose if your beta profile is already installed.

Why? With the profile you'll probably get the RC tonight, without it you won't get the update until next week.
If RC gets released today I’ll just reload the profile.
If I could I would stay on this particular Beta forever lol, it’s been incredibly stable and battery life been phenomenal.

It seems that the idea for Apple going forward is to seriously differentiate their 'Pro' iPhones from the standard iPhones - which means that more & more often, we'll be seeing iOS versions with more fragmentation along the iPhone models and it seems 'iOS on different models' is going to be become a more frequent and important topic .

Is that how you Apple folk see it ?

In the past the differences on iOS was there, but it didn't seems as big a step now due to hardware.
