Much like with the iPad range, there are some features that will be in certain models and not others. To sum it up, as long as you have an iPhone XS you will be mostly fine as the XS and up will get the bulk of new features, but there are a few that are meant for 11 and up, 12 and up as well as 13 and up.

Lol, I went and put it on my daily driver
So far so good, feels quite fast and smooth, no heating up either after the update which is usually good sign lol.

I will see how I go tomorrow as it’s my day to be in the office.

Battery life is fine, I've been running Dev beta 3 (which will be the same as Pub beta 1) since last week and I haven't noticed any issues with battery (on iPhone 12).

Dev beta 3 is also out tonight (I could have sworn I was on beta 3 already, apparently I was only on 2).

Dev beta 3 mark 2 was released this evening.

Reading the Reddit sub iOSBeta tells of strange battery drain on the Music App and the Mail app. You aren't experiencing this?

Do banking apps work? Standard Bank and FNB being my main drivers.

Music app and mail app are fine, I use them both every day. I don't have any SA bank apps but out of all my bank apps 4 work and 2 don't.
 
And I wasn't mad, I was on beta 3, Apple have released a second version of Dev beta 3 this evening.

My FNB, Standard Bank and Discovery Banking apps are all working fine.
 
Running nicely for me so far. Haven't used a lot of the newer features except the wallpaper but as stable as iOS 15 for me so far.
 
Everything working as normal.
Battery life okay as well

I also moved over to the iOS 16 Public Beta (iPhone 13 Mini) and WatchOS 9 (Series 5) and it has been good thus far.

I did have the mail battery life issue (iCloud account) with excessive background running but I just changed it to fetch instead of push as I use Spark for all other mails.

Battery health went from 85% - 88% on the Series 5 with the new calibration.

So far so good here to, my battery is on 86% health since a few weeks ago anyway, but battery seems to be the same as on iOS 15.5.

EDIT:

I don’t know if it’s the placebo effect but my 11 Pro Max feels faster on iOS 16 and so does my iPad Pro on iPad OS 16, is anyone else noticing smoother and faster reaction from their devices? Feels like it’s lighter on its feet.

A minor detail that I have noticed is how Optimised Charging is reflecting in the battery graph, it now shows a pause logo for when it pauses charging

Noticed any glitches?

Moon wallpaper glitching when it zooms in.
Weird brightness bug when in Sleep Focus Mode.

Only two I've seen so far. Device very much snappy. You'd forget you're on Beta software
