iOS 6 GM is out!

Can someone who has iOS6 tell me more about Siri?

Does FB and Twitter integration not work?

I know there is a site but I want a personal view :)

Took my iPad3 with to the office today (flashed iOS6 last night) to download all my Zinio mags. Also took my Nexus 7 as I will alternate between the two while on holiday next week. So downloading the mags on both tabs.

iPad hung a few times and required a reboot. Wifi dropped out twice this AM which also required a reboot.
Also downloading purchased apps hung after selecting more than 5 in a row. This last night though after the flash. Also required a reboot.

I also find when I start the iPad3 from cold, I cannot swipe to unlock. I have to turn off the screen, then when screen on again I can unlock and carry on.

My little Nexus just cruised while all this was happening. No drop outs. No hanging. No rebooting. *sigh*

EDIT: The wifi on the iPad3 seems to also be a bit slow. Both Nexus and iPad3 connected to the same network and downloading the same mag. Over and over the Nexus got the mag in way before the iPad3.

I have mine set up as a static ip and it's stable.

If you want to try it:

Settings>general>network>wifi>... Then to the right of your chosen network is a little blue arrow. Press that and you can setup your static ipaddress there.

Thanks dude. Static does not suit me though as I would have to change it between home and office which is a pain. Office also on a different range.
I use my DHCP at home to reserve an address for each of my devices, so as you say - that has probably helped as it effectively has a static IP. I could ask the network admin at the office to reserve an address for me there too. Will give that a bash.

lol... I leave early on Monday and Friday to fetch my son from school. I work at home the rest of the day as it is pointless driving all the way back. Finish at 15H30 anyways.
I am a contractor and they give me quite a bit of freedom in exchange for hard work. Suits me perfectly :)
 
Wonder if you will be able to create shortcuts with 6. I see Bluetooth has at least moved to a easier location, right under Wi-fi.
 
So what time in SA will we be able to upgrade tomorrow?
Do we have to wait until New York hits midnight before we can download iOS 6?

From what I gathered at the office, it is better to wait.

I flashed this release on my iPad3 and it seems pretty buggy. The guys in the office are adamant that Apple "don't release buggy software :confused:" and I should have waited for the official release.

I am more familiar with Android stuff and an Apple n00b so don't know how much truth is in this?
 
When you installed iOS6 did you setup device as a new device or did you restore from backup??

It's highly recommendable to setup as a new device.

I setup as a new device dude.
After about an hour I reset it again but still no change.
The bugs are not major but are annoying. Considering the way Apple peeps go on about iOS I expected more. Even my Galaxy Tab 10.1 running an early beta of JB is more solid. Can't even start to compare to the Nexus. I just expected more I suppose.
