Ah look the anti Apple brigade have woken up.
Oh great, the fanboi wars are back...
It will never go away ... and it is not that bad. It happens on every forum/blog/etc and it drives up the page impressions so the ad money can flow in ... ie good for business. We must all do our part to help RPM, not so? LOL!

Pooky, unfortunately their is much ammunition handed to this brigade by Apple themselves. The arrogance on display yesterday was somewhat shocking. The way Cook cooked the numbers to fit his agenda was not nice to see. He breaks the OS's into version fragments and then proclaims iOS 6 the winner. WTF Captain C(r)ook?! So much of what happened on that stage was borrowed from those mega churches in the States with the gold teeth and white suit preachers. A twist here and a twist there ... and it all looks so believable.
I love Apple devices. My iPad Mini is my favourite gadget. But I'm not blind to the ills of Apple. Apple folk should not take criticism so badly. It is only through criticism that things get better. Praise don't do that.
I'm all for constructive criticism and debate, but to be honest it just seems to me that people just like to hate on Apple just for the fun of hating on Apple, not because they actually care about anything.
Sure Apple may do some crap things, but rather than just popping up with some snide remark or picture give proper feedback.
The thing is Pooky, people that defend something despite evidence presented are as guilty as the attackers. This is very prominent whenever and wherever Apple is discussed ... worldwide. It follows Apple like flies are attracted to dung. It is because of the two extremes (yes, both sides) that there will always be war.
Lets face it, Apple copied Andriod copied Apple.
iOS 7 is new and different and Apple users will be stick around to try it out. It may even attract a few Blackberry users. Android users are Android users and will stick to Android.
It actually grates me to say that Microsoft beat the others to this design paradigm, but it is true. Microsoft got their design mojo right for a change, setting the pace.
Not necessarily. I can see a fair few Android users moving over to iOS, because it finally adds some of the major functional tools that were missing in iOS.
For me JB is too much like using WindowsBlinds on a Windows machine ... the custom designs just never work as well as the ones that came in the box ... stupid fonts, colours that don't work well together, etc ... stuff that will give Ives a heart attack. I am also very critical about such things and get seriously de-moer-in when a custom skin buggers up a good design.
Look let's be honest here, there's a lot of elements that were liberally 'borrowed' from other sources. The lockscreen looks so much like an XDA custom theme it's a bit silly. There are some very original touches though and flashes of brilliance. The concept of layering is very rational and well thought out; the frosted glass texture hasn't been seen before to my knowledge and it creates a beautiful transition and sense of coherence. The parallax effect is the killer for me though.I am all for the new design. It was desperately needed. We all will agree on that (I hope). Apple did the right thing. It is just not new. It is very similar to what other are already doing and it will be very dishonest of Apple to claim otherwise. We just want Apple to be a little bit more honest and humble and not arrogantly declare that they are better than anyone else. It actually grates me to say that Microsoft beat the others to this design paradigm, but it is true. Microsoft got their design mojo right for a change, setting the pace. I'm not talking function here ... the tiles in Modern UI.
I thought you were an engineer and an artist (and a poet and lover presumably). This should be right up your jacksey old boy.Jeepers Cerebus, this reads like a wine tasting article ... LOL!
