Maybe apps under 20MB will update over 3G.
I'm 100% sure my twitter app updated at launch.
There was a blue circle next to it, opened the app and it said updating. I tried to kill it but it already updated.

open settings > appstore and double check, im curious
 
Updated both iPad 4 and iPhone 5 to iOS 7 and overall I'm pleased with the new iOS.

Noticed some issues in a few apps on the iPad:
1- In G-whizz you can't see signal strength and battery level. App screen takes up the whole screen.
2- In news24 app the comments screen is not working correctly. The report spam button covers the comment until that particular comment is scrolled close to the top.
3-In the IOL app scrolling up and down opens the article no matter how I try. You have to touch the screen somewhere in order to scroll.....

Also noticed, as has been said earlier that the keyboard works way way better. Loving it.

I am yet to figure out how to work is Airdrop and

That 20mb limit has since been extended to 50mb, and now sits at 100mb, btw. At least - I think that's what I read, somewhere... been doing plenty of reading over the last few days on all things Apple related.... :)


As an complete aside - given that I basically upgraded from Lion to ML within a week of purchasing my Mac - this is the 1st significant "upgrade" I've ever had to experience. And I've spent most of the day like a kid in a candy store. Good times....

At the risk of having the flames descend upon me - cannot quite imagine a similar experience on any of the other operating systems... but hey, maybe I'm wrong about that...

where do you see this limit thing?
 
Found a data usage monitor section.
Settings-mobile scroll to bottom it gives a breakdown of all data used today.
Used 2MB for ms exchange :eek:
Cool addition though.
Auto updates show 13MB... :(

Good grief! Missed this - having a close look - plenty set to suck away at 3G!!

Yip.
Had to switch off a few things.
Another default setting is in iTunes. Song and video match. Switch that off if you don't need it.

Just came across a tip - shake your device just after you've accidentally deleted an email - it will bring up a message allowing for an "undo"...

I used my iphone from 08:00 and it is now 20:37. Was using it the whole day and only use 23% Battery still have 77% left.
Check for apps that run in the background. It can drain your battery very fast.
 
BTW there are a few new ringtones and alerts. Original tones are now filed under classic. You can also alter the vibration mode.

Almost missed a cell after the update. Changed my ringtone. I was like :wtf:

Nice, an old and dearly missed BB feature.


Noticed under safari settings all website data is stored and sent somewhere, switch that off.
All app that access your microphone. Not sure why, off.
I see there's a lot of default data collection going on on this new os.
I hope off means off.

A bit off topic but I suspect it might be due to the iOS updates. I had to install a new hard drive in my MacBook Pro. Decided to have OS X reinstall via the Internet. It will take approximately 365 days to download and install :erm:
