What device do you have? Mirroring is only supported on certain devices IIRC.

iPhone 4S and it was there before the update. Used double click and swipe left and would show icon...

Confirmed:

AirPlay is compatible with the second-generation Apple TV or later. AirPlay Mirroring is available with iPhone 4s or later, iPad 2 or later, iPad mini, and iPod touch (5th generation).

If the phone can see an Airplay device it will appear in the control centre. When you then select it, it should prompt you for mirroring.

iTunes 11.1 also bombs out on apple update app.

Will just wait till tomorrow. Hopefully servers calmed down

The launch here in Miami was 13:00 and about 5 mins before the update went live but it took me over 2 or more hours because the 660mb or so update kept on crashing but it finally worked and it looks good and needs getting used too.

Got mine through torrents, took about 1h to get 1.2GB iOS7 for 4s. Just get the ipsw file names from the direct download links and search for the torrent with that name...

iOS 7 rocks!! its a really awesome upgrade, took me about 30 mins last night to do the upgrade on my iphone, my ipad now says 6 hours but really happy with it!

Took me about 6 hours to do my wife's and mine... But yeah pretty cool.

Doesn't help that iTunes crashed while updating my phone which put it in Recovery mode and I had to do a restore.

Silly question - but have never NOT gone through iTunes before - what do I do once the above is downloaded? Ctr-click and that's it?
Or is there a few more steps in between?

Any help will be appreciated - I'm obviously googling the wrong question...

Once you have downloaded it you need to go through itunes to install. So attach your phone. Then click ctrl+upgrade on the phone's screen in itunes. Then navigate to select the ipsw file and let it run. That's all.
