Hmm yeah, in todays day and age, privacy is always a concern. The way I see it, at least they are being up front about what you are enabling.

I would sure hope if it blatantly disregarded common privacy best practices, then it would not be allowed on the App Store. I'm sure they are regulated to a certain extent - more so than on your other popular smartphone OS.*cough cough*. I guess we'll get more clarification on exactly what developers are allowed information to, and how they are allowed to use and store it, in due time.

Swiftkey analyses what you type to improve it's performance/accuracy, it can also go through your email and facebook if you allow it to.

Running SwiftKey - but my old keyboard shortcuts aren't working anymore? Anyone experiencing the same?

I noticed when entering a password the keyboard reverted to the native keyboard. I assume as a security measure.

Sharing your every keystroke with a VC funded company... what could go wrong?

Just deleted Swiftkey. Find the new keyboard by Apple to be more than adequate, my iOS shortcuts work properly, and one less security gap to worry about.

I installed SwiftKey on my ipad but it doesn't seem to support "swiping" in which case there's basically no point (to ios 8 as well).

Swipe functionality was introduced for one handed use. This feature wasn't included in the iPad version of swiftkey as one handed use of an iPad isn't the norm.

It works on galaxy tab which is the same size... I always type with one finger. Thumb on phone but index finger on tablet.

Maybe they'll introduce it at a later stage. Was also a little confused and disappointed as to why swipe functionality wasn't available. Just assumed it was the one hand theory not being applicable to 7" and above.
