So i've been slowly but surely buffing the security at home and recently acquired a full 360deg controllable wireless IP cam that i want to mount in my living room, thus being able to see the front door, down the halls and the sliding door to the patio. After the initial excitement about my purchase faded i started thinking about network security and what i can do to keep prying eyes out there from accessing it, while still having me be able to log into it remotely over the web with good hopes that im secure. Will be the first time i attempt something like this so, so far i have my modem hardware firewall on, and all the basic things like Titan Internet Security installed, etc. My modem is in the living room also and it will be connecting over wireless. Going to install the software and whatnot later this afternoon - dont know exactly how it will work yet. Any recommendations on anything else i could do to make it secure to me only?
Thanks
