IP Connect problem causes ADSL downtime

really slow here in Southern Suburbs, Cape Town, can't stream any videos and live radio buffers every couple of seconds (4mbit line)

If you are experiencing problems, please give your ISP - it will helps other users :)
 
WoW latency is horrible, spikes up to 1000ms and keeps climbing. Telkom and their dodgy infrastructure....

This applies to my Mweb Shaped, Mweb Unshaped and Afrihost Shaped accounts.
 
All ISP's will now quickly shut down or throttle all their services, even if they are not effected. The perfect excuse.
 
Not sure if it was related to this - had problems on work ADSL from 4.30pm onwards with secure authentication on port 995 for Gmail pop services (work email running on Google Apps) - ISP SAOL.
 
In PE, I couldn't use international for about half an hour, about an hour ago, and preceding that my net was very quirky for the afternoon.

Other than the latency issue, I haven't noticed any issues on Mweb in Stellenbosch.
 
Was down for about half an hour (middle of a MW2 game , u bloody scoundrels Telkom). Also didnt have access to any sites etc.

Was hoping its an upgrade on our exchange lol....too wishful thinking on my part.

I'm getting super slow speeds on my 4meg line (0.15meg according to speedtest.net) I'm in the southern suburbs (cape), uploads and ping seem normal tho :confused:
I'm with webafrica.
 
According to Webafrica's notices; "Link down between Great Westerford and Terraces (CINX) due to a cable break, engineers are attending."
