iPad 2 case and cover

I need to get an iPad 2 case / cover and I like the iPad 2 smart cover but I need something that will protect the entire device front and back. I could get the screen protectors but they R400 for the set which in my opinion is way too expensive. Any other ideas or options?
 
I am sure you can use the iPad 1 cover (the standard one that most people use) for the iPad 2?
 
I put a screen protector on mine, R199 from incredible. I am just using a pouch to carry it around but also need to get a decent cover but not all that much available from what I have seen, the smart cover is ok but yes doesn't protect all over, and many of the IPAD covers/cases do not fit due to the thickness of them.

I purchased an iPad 1 folio cover for my iPad 2 and to be honest, I am not happy with it. It moves around in the cover, and the buttons are not easy to get to, so my suggesstion is to not get an iPad 1 cover for an iPad 2....

On the bright side, from what I hear, the iStore should hopefully have iPad 2 folio covers this week and they have agreed to swop my cover out as it was one of the workers there that told me that the iPad 1 cover would work just as well...

I got lucky with finding a Belkin leather folio for iPad2 the day after I bought mine. It was only R299 - which I am certain was a mistake on their system. I like it because it makes the iPad a lot easier to hold and gives it good protection all around. The only complaint is that the aperture in the case doesn't line up exactly with the forward facing camera, so when you want to use Facetime (which I have never done) you will have to remove it.

There is no way I will pay R500/R800 for a smart cover.
 
just spoke to the guys at the Canal Walk iStore and they now apparenlty have the Griffen iPad 2 folio covers....
 
Was also checking out the Zaggmate, they ship to SA, I've also seen it on expansys.co.za for R999...however I think if you buy it through Zagg, it comes in at about R700 with shipping and 50% off a skin.

TY for feedback, got a friend coming from USA over the weekend, asked her to bring one for me.

Will do, its not for me in person, buying it for someone else but will play around with it. Seeing that its made by Logitech I would assume its decent.

Also trying to source an iPad. Apparently she could not find one at the 4 shops she went to in the states. They where all sold out, so stock outs is not a SA only thing. I am to blame for that as it was short notice, at least she did get the Zagg.
 
Retails for R850 Inc vat but this week till fri 3 of may it's R750 Inc vat and free counter to counter delivery, unless you're in durban, then you can collect.
 
Hand made, excellent quality, beautifully sculptured tray, better then dodo case for sure, we have one so we know. Slim, professional looking, really excellent case. If you're in durbn you're welcome to come and see it. If you're in cape town, then the buro store in stellenbosch will be stocking them from this week. If in JHB then we need your help to get them there, so create some interest and ask your local shops...

Woah that's a bit high for me. I just need something simple. Mostly use the iPad in bed so it doesn't need that much protection. Thanks though.
 
I prefer the Zagg iPad keyboard, got one for a friend and must day I am very close to not handing it over.

Got someone that brought one from USA for only R690. Its a hardcover for the iPad that doubles as a keyboard stand.
