iPad 4 128GB announced

Apple's lack of expandable storage- always complained about.
Apple increase the limit on their internal storage- gets complained about.

No win situation...

With an sd card sure. It's not the same thing is it?

Please elaborate !

Remember the system memory on the TF-700T is 64 GB, you hardly need more of that. And the extra 64GB is fast class 10 flash memory.

Of course, 128GB microSDXC will be available soon, and you can keep a handful of spares with you for near infinite capacity.

Apple will always be playing catchup while they do not support card slots. As it is there are many companies coming out with all sorts of idiotic external storage solutions for iPads.

(And please let nobody make some idiotic statement about cloud storage).

Nobody complained about the increased storage, they just complained about the pricing.

I have a 64GB iPad4, would have loved for it to be 128GB, but the price would have been a problem.

What needs elaborating? 64gb is system memory, 64gb is from an sd card. It's not the same as 128gb of built in storage. If they had given you 128gb of built in memory with expandable storage, they would also have charged more for it.

The point that I was trying to make is that you don't need that much system memory, max that you can use is probably 32GB, rest is used for data.

So it does not matter that you have 64G, or 128GB for that matter, in a card slot.

For example, I have 48GB of available system memory on the TF-700T, but the memory on the flash cards is fully utilised.
