And there's nothing wrong with that. A well built iPad is likely to last despite a protective cover, a plastic Samsung product, less likely. I also tend to think that most people would put a cheap cover on a leather seat but not a leather cover on a cheap fabric seat.

The problem is that all reviews are like that. Jobs did introduce a reality distortion field, but it's not to say other companies are not trying that. It's that Jobs was successful at it, while Samsung, Asus and others are not. They're all corporate vampires though and they each punt their product as essential and life saving. Everyone BS'es. Increased sales, mean more money for investors. That's all that counts.

Product review is not rocket science. It is possible to figure out that not having GPS and a low res screen are not good features, but if someone does not need GPS and considers the screen res to be good enough for their needs, the Mini is a decent product and it enjoys a huge ecosystem.

TL... but did read it! Made me laugh hahaha

To sum up, it says that the device is actually pretty good, but the reviews of it are ridiculous. Agree completely.

Which is what I have been saying all along. To me there is nothing wrong with it besides the low res panel (and the Apple logo, need to stay in character).
 
I look forward to getting one of these in my hands but suspect I am going to be put off by the screen.I have the new iPad and my wife has an iPad 2 and the difference in screen quality is very noticeable.When you have a retina display anything less is just meh.Maybe with the screen size it wont be as noticeable.
