iPad vs Android tablets: new stats for SA

yup, seems very consistent with the data that i have.
furthermore, (not set) makes up a big chuck of the traffic, but if you look at the browsers being used, most of those (not set) visits turn out to be using safari. Since its safe to assume most safari users are on iOS, the share of iPads & iPhone is even bigger than the data below suggests.

(not sure though why analytics would find it easier to identify the browser than the device, perhaps someone can explain?)

Some stats from a busy SA website:
Code:
1 (not set) 45.0%
2 Apple iPad 21.6%
3 Apple iPhone 16.9%
4 Samsung GT-I9100 Galaxy S II 2.0%
5 RIM BlackBerry 8520 Curve 2.0%
6 Apple iPod Touch 1.4%
7 Samsung GT-P7500 Galaxy Tab 1.3%
8 Samsung GT-I9000 Galaxy S 1.3%
9 SonyEricsson LT15i Xperia Arc 0.9%
10 HTC Desire HD 0.8%
11 RIM BlackBerry 9300 Curve 3G 0.7%
12 HTC Legend 0.6%
13 HTC Desire X0H6T 0.4%
14 Motorola MZ601 Xoom 0.4%
15 RIM BlackBerry 9700 Bold 0.3%
16 Nokia N8-00 N8 0.3%
17 Samsung GT-I9001 0.2%
18 Samsung GT-P1000 Galaxy Tab 0.2%
19 HTC Desire 0.2%
20 Asus Eee Pad Transformer 0.2%

W3Schools is normally a terrible statistic because their user-base scews towards techies.
NetApplications is a better source

Really? Suprised that iPads are more of a popular choice for techies.

I'm just saying, regardless of the result, W3Schools has a screwed user base, and shouldn't be used

When you connect to a PC with cable you have to use iTunes to get the file to the correct app. My issue is with the fact that one cannot copy paste in a general file system where any app on the device can pick it up.
iCloud is even worse. Try and save something not created by Apple products! Dropbox is way better.

GoodPlayer does that, very well actually.

From the App Store: "Built-in file manager supported: move files from folder to folder inside of app, file, delete, file rename, folder creation, folder delete"

Note: ¨inside the app¨

Not between apps.

In Android I have a central file storage system - like in Windows. I can test any number of apps using the same file and select the best app for the job.

Ah apologies, I misinterpreted what you were saying. GoodPlayer does exactly what I need it to do though, not going to waste my time looking for alternatives.
