Ipad vs Galaxy

Vs the Galaxy tab 3G I have to agree if you can live with iTunes and Apple's way of doing things, that is a decent price. Vs the Asus Eee pad no 3G I have to disagree. I dont know what is preloaded on Galaxy but with PolarisOffice, Splashtop and all that comes with the Asus it wins hands down, even if it was at the same price.

Yea, if i was going for a Wifi Only tablet, the Asus is going for R4600 at Look and Listen and the Ipad2-Wifi_only is about the same price , which makes the Asus a better deal for sure. In the 3G territory the picture looks very different unfortunately.
 
If you have any other Apple devices (iPhone, iPod Touch, Mac) then the iPad is the natural choice. iCloud will provide seamless syncing between all your devices without any intervention from your side. They will all just work together. Yeah, so iOS is closed compared to Android, but that is not always a bad thing. Its stable, fast and smooth! From a quality perspective the iPad is also a better buy. And lastly, Samsung is know for being less than stellar when it comes to firmware updates for their products. Apple on the other hand supports their devices for a good many number of years before letting them die a dignified death.
 
...so i bought an ipad 2 because when i wandered into IC they had stock of the 3G model. So i guess Android lost me yet again due to poor supply ;)

That's interseting, I find ipad 2 stock seriously lacking, especially if you're not in a main/metro area

Thing is the ipad don't have these things "out of the box" but you will always get a cable/accessory to do that (ipad does have a cable for vga/hdmi output to your tv) , it's not always certain what Samsung/whoever will add as accessories though.

It looks much larger than i thought, and all the laptop ports comes with a price:battery life.


So dont get too excited. I settled for the ipad and im impressed with the support and accessories you get for it at the end. I can also confirm you can open flash websites with browser apps from the appstore without jailbreaking.So it has become a non issue for me.

Stock is definitely lacking, even in metros. I went to IC for the last month asking them what tablets they actually have in stock and they never had any. I was just lucky and i had to settle to take a specific color and model, luckily it was the model i was interested in.
