Any idea when it will land in SA? The 12 Pro max shows 13 Nov for the US.
It is a luxury item not meant for the poor and plebs. The relatively well & those who don't mind the debt will buy them by the millions as happens every year.Apple's pricing strategy is not sustainable in the third world countries.
“While our competition is scrambling to keep up with our chips from last year, we remain generations ahead,” Apple said.
All good and well if you're a recent model's owner. But when you're new you kind'a get screwed. They should have cut prices by the cost of those accessories for all buyers. As part of our efforts to reach our environmental goals, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max do not include a power adapter or EarPods. Please use your current Apple power adapter and headphones, or purchase these accessories separately.
I'm keen to make the switch.
Due for upgrade but nothing interesting from the Android camp. Would have preferred a Samsung but I refuse to buy another exynos.
I really have no idea why people are going on about notches and tear drop cameras. As if that would impact heavily on the experience.
Another advantage of this phone is that the camera app will output RAW files that also include the results of the computational photography algorithms. That will probably place it ahead of the G series cameras.4x optical zoom. This just killed the need for most of Canon's G series cameras. Unless you are confident those 1" sensors are going to outperform this phone. I highly doubt it though...
'cos everyone needs a Lidar scanner on their phone.

nopeI thought Samsung uses snapdragon for the models they release in SA?
Can you prove they didn't?All good and well if you're a recent model's owner. But when you're new you kind'a get screwed. They should have cut prices by the cost of those accessories for all buyers.

Apple living in 2017I love this comment![]()
That line "The most powerful x ever" annoys me, it is the headline for every single product they release."iPhone 12 Pro launched – The most powerful iPhone ever" Would they make a pro model which is less powerful than the previous year?

Prove? No, not objective. But I can make an inference on the fact that they always keep pricing fixed release to release. So prices are the same with or without those accessories. Can you prove they didn't?
Plenty! Apple are just behind the times still lolMy sentiments exactly. Would not be surprised if last year and the year before's headline was the same. Reminds me of the phone itself, actually..
To be fair to Apple though - what more can mobile phones do?
great, now just to wait and see MTN contract prices vs cash price for the phone. If last year was anything to go by, a week or so later.
