Was the 64GB 12 mini R12999? If so then yea, fkn Core group and their shenanigans /spits

Not at launch in 2020. It dropped over the past year.

Although the Randela was much weaker a year ago.

Yes, the iPhone mini 64gb was R12999 and the iPhone 12 64gb was R14999.

Now you have to fork out more money for the iPhone 13 128gb and iPhone 13 mini 128gb.

I think @3WA is correct, the 12 was more expensive at launch. Look at the article when the 12 was released:

Another very interesting teardown review:

iPhone 13 Pro Max vs. Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra Speedtest

iPhone 13 Pro Max vs. Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra Battery test

I was not expecting the 13 Pro Max to pull ahead so much in both given that it has a smaller battery (battery test) and less ram (speed test). Was worried about 120hz vs. Apple using smaller batteries but once again it seems iOS optimisation has really shown itself to be top notch (pun intended) lol

Thing to remember is that the S21 is almost a year old already, and has to run on Android (the same software pushed out to dozens of other manufacturers). iPhones will usually run better anyway because of iOS working seamlessly with the hardware.

About R1500pm over 24 months for the 512 pro max @ Vodacom

wonder if they will have the 128gb version.

I am currently using a 64gb XS with no storage issues, and I definitely do not need ProRes or even care about taking 4K video. I just want the large screen and 120hz

The IPhone 13 (128GB) has dropped the price from R17299 to R16999...

So what did everyone order? I pre-ordered the iPhone 13 Pro 128GB in Gold via iStore

Indeed, it should be interesting how things change when the S22 with the new OneUI 4 arrives with Android 12, I really like the direction Google are taking, I hope Samsung stick to it in their UI to.

I went for a iPhone 13 Pro Max 256GB Sierra Blue from Vodacom. R1,300 pm for 24 months, not bad at all. this includes 1GB of data and some minutes. They also have it for R929 pm for 36 months but that's like buying a house on a 30 year mortgage!

I'm going Pro Max for the battery and cameras, also interested in the 120hz display but the battery is the biggest selling point for me

Edit: It comes with a 20W USB-C power adapter, here's a link if anyone is interested https://bit.ly/3iw9rGA
