iPhone 14 and possibly iOS 16 battling overheating issues

Never had a crash. Wrecked my Blackberry Bold 9000 with a formal OS upgrade which took 2 days for me to fix.
I've also had Android cause issues necessitating a rollback and a wait for a new version of whatever sweet flavour they then released.

The one thing I've noticed over the years is that fanboys never admit have crashes. And every iPhone fan has tons of crashes / errors / freezes with Android, for some bizarre reason

Simple...a crash would be an app or phone OS that does not work anymore. It either requires a restart, or restarts itself. Hope I have helped you with this concept.

I used to have my BB Bold's BBM and Facebook crash, and then the sound stopped working on the phone for a day. Cue reinstallation of the OS.

Android was a one-time thing. Loaded the latest version on my Sony Xperia Z1, and ended up rolling back and then only upgraded when the newer version of Android came out. Only 1 crash. Not tons (as alleged)

Maybe I am one of the lucky ones who hasn't had an issue with my: iPhone 6 (4 years), iPhone SE (2 years, and then my wife used it for another 2 years), my iPhone xR (2 years...my wife is on a year of using it as well), and my iPhone 11 (11 months and counting). And finally on my iPad Air2 (6 years). Hope this helps you with the ownership question.

And that's it...hope it doesn't trigger responses about apps crashing etc. Yes it happens to some; no it hasn't happened to me.
 
Yeah I don't buy some of stories here of older iPhones overheating, sounds like hella sour grapes. Calling BS.
I had a fair few number of iPhones over a long period & they were used as GPS in the heat of summer & I can count on 1 hand the number of times any of them that would shut down due to thermals flaring up.

You call BS on anything that any stellar on the iPhone, despite whatever is shown to you
 
Mine heats up quite a bit when I'm playing a game, but only gets slightly warm when using other apps.

My kid’s iPhone 13 generates a lot of heat when it’s charging since upgrading to iOS 16. Not enough to show a warning message though.

I’m holding off until the first dot release.

iPhone can get hot (along with an iPad) if games are played on it. Not unbearably so. But then again so do most other manufacturers too.
I stream Spotify off my iPhone and it doesn't get hot. It's running iOS 16 too with no issues. Maybe it only affects newer phones?
 
Jeez admin...someone's allowed to call BS, but when it's not that person it gets deleted. Wonderful...different strokes for different folks!
Someone's feelings were hurt by that comment.
 
I've been running 16 for a few days. No overheating issues for me yet.

Last one I got was when I was driving in the sun, using GPS, music and Tapatalk at the same time, while charging.
 
The only time my iphone shuts down is when the battery is empty. Then I have to rummage through the draw for my sim card pin because its been so long since the last time it happened. :)
