iPhone 14 and possibly iOS 16 battling overheating issues

Several Apple iPhone 14 owners are complaining of a battery overheating issue that occurs even when there are no apps or demanding processes running, Softpedia News reports.

Owners of the new iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max have reported the problem.

By the way, all phones do switch off when the temperature goes too high. You don't say if yours was heating up because you kept it out in the sun or what?

I've owned 4 iPhones over the past several years, if I recall, I've only ever had 3 crashes. That's with installing beta OS's as well.

Cant remember was years ago, sold it and never looked back after going with Samsung

I swear this happened to me, after the update my phone would be hot and the battery wouldn't last as long. A phone restart fixed it though. Edit: iOS16 @ iphone se 2020
