Apple's next Pro iPhone could see the old battery icon return

Apple is expected to unveil its latest generation of iPhones at its event on Wednesday, 7 September 2022, and the Pro variation of the smartphone could bring back the old battery percentage indicator.

A mockup of the device from MacRumors shows a side-by-side percentage and battery icon. Before this, Apple tested an indicator with the battery percentage inside it in the iOS 16 beta.

Pixel Binning, Always On Display, Faster Charging, Battery Percentage indicator , more open ecosystem ... this company is getting close to an Android - and I like it :)

Most people seem to think that iOS 16 will herald the return of the indicator, not the iPhone 14, given that it has been included in the betas.

With the fifth beta of iOS 16, Apple has updated the battery icon on iPhones with Face ID to display the specific battery percentage rather than just a visual representation of battery level. The new battery indicator is available on iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 models, with the exception of the 5.4-inch ‌iPhone 12‌/13 mini. It is also available on the iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max, XS and XS Max, and iPhone X.

Easier to just an android instead of waiting. They'll always be different.

iPhone owners who are reported excited at having the indicator back. Weird how apple are only putting it on the pro like it's a special feature or something.
It's even weirder that people think that's what's going to happen even though the betas indicate otherwise. It's still all speculation.

Tim Cockster is taking the sheeple for a ride.

Battery percentage? pffft I can remember when you couldnt copy paste on the original iPhone. Was a big deal when it made it's "debut" on iPhone 3.

Only you would claim the restoration of a feature is innovation.
Apple considers anything new on an iPhone "groundbreaking" even though it has being on Android for years.
And the iPhone fan boys fap each other with anticcccccccipation when all this groundbreaking stuff happens.

And yet it's Android users who seem to have the most to say about Apple in Apple threads... why is that?

That’s not really true.

I started a thread saying ‘great phone, but I feel x, y and z’ could be improved and I had a pack of iPhone users attacking and verbally assaulting me

Well actually in the last 10 years I have owned an iPad and 3 iPhones. So there's that
