Toddler dropped my phone earlier today and thought all was okay. Seems she cracked the rear glass on my 14 Pro :( Logged with insurance and awaiting their response, might get a 15 in the interim while all this is getting sorted

You do get some that have back plate but I’ve personally only ever run the bumper option and my phone has gone down two flights of stairs with zero issue.

I’ve had one on my last three iPhones and never had a broken phone with plenty of spills.

My wife who drops her phone at least once daily only managed to make a small crack over the selfie camera of an iPhone 8 after about 3 years of use.

So yeah I swear by it. Basically consider it insurance now.

Anybody received any updates from iStore/Core regarding the next stock drop? They’re basically just ignoring me now.

Oh I’ve bought directly from them every time.

Ships here in a couple of days.

I just have the Crashguard. My wife had the Mod NX with a seethrough backplate and then on her 12 Mini got the Solidsuit but warning there it didn’t work with our wireless chargers. She got one of those pop socket things any so didn’t matter.

Although they sell it they recommend against Tempered Glass in favour of the Impact Protector flexible screen protector. I don’t use one so can’t comment.
 
Quick question. I'm travelling to UK in December, and thinking it may be cheaper to buy the iPhone there: 3-4k cheaper at current exchange rate, which may mean I can get the Pro for the price of base 15. However, does anyone know if Core will honour the warranty? I've read that it's a global warranty but you never know with Core.

No you'll have to ship it to Apple directly AFAIK.

I'm just realising that I've bought most of my iPhones overseas and I've never given warranty a second thought.

I got my iPod Pro's is Singapore and iStore swapped them when they were faulty as part of the recall program. So I guess there is that security but tbf I'd rather have the savings and trust the product. Almost R5k on the 15 Pro is not insignificant.

Agreed but the 15, especially the Pro, does seem to have issues. I think I'll give it another month to see whether they are the usual teething issues are any more serious - there is low stock anyway so no rush.
