iPhone 3GS

Nashua mobile told me today I'm around 400 in the queue :( Been waiting 4 weeks now. They also said their last shipment only brought in 50 iphones, and that was awhile ago. Hard to blame Nashua/Vodacom since its a world wide shortage, altho a heads up would have been nice. Guess I'll be waiting awhile...
 
Guys, guys, guys. Vodacom will put stall tactics in place and only release at the end of the month when the holidays kick-off. Simple marketing tactics. Vodacom and the likes couldn't give two craps what the rest of the world do and couldn't give two craps what we think they should do.

I doubt that, just think there is a real shortage worldwide & South Africa never makes it to the top of the list.

I got my iPhone 3G last year on the day Vodacom launched it in South Africa.....will never forget it. I was worried about my own personal safety when I walked out the shop with my brand new iPhone and ques of people staring at me with hate in their eyes. Felt great! :)
 
I would have thought that that the ethical annd correct thing to do in the case, considering who Voadcom is, is to have an update or status window on their website - not too much to ask. Their attitude stinks though. Their way or F.O.

Have you paid for the phone yet? I want to get one, have to get it on a new contract in October (wife's moving from CellC to VC). But I will only have the bucks a bit later than October. So maybe I can order it, and save up a bit more? Or pay the 50% on new contract and the balance on collection? What did you do?
 
I also went to Nashua, paid the R3000 upfront on the iphone 240. Dude told me 5 working days. Phoned yesterday, all he said is no stock at head office and he`ll get back to me. Still nothing
 
Queue of 400, 50 phones delivered every 2 months... that is not pleasant math, people.
This will be my first iphone (when and if i do finally get it)

It better be worth it.....

I only have to pay once the phone arrives luckily.

It's well worth it, you'll see :) I'm doing EVERYTHING you can think of one my new iphone 3GS :)
 
I just got one too, 2nd hand 16GB 3GS (literally 1 week old, invoice provided), R4.5k....:)
 
Has anyone ordered from Coveroo.com before? I just ordered the Dexter iPhone cover. They have some pretty cool covers on there. My cover will probably be here before my phone. ha ha

They charged me $50 for 3 day Fedex. It will ship on the 30th they say. Now I only hope my phone comes before then.

Yeah, it gets a bit expensive. The pouch costs anything between $35-$55 plus another $50 for shipping!!! R637-R787? A lot for a pouch...
 
I see it cost me R739. I don`t really care. I wanted a Dexter case for a long time now. And the Speck one isn`t on the market so I bought this one. But it`s pretty cool, you can send you own logo`s, etc and the custom make a case for you
