I want that 960x640 screen.
Why? Don't you have a television?

I agree with @unskinnybob. I have a 3GS and the 4G doesn't really offer anything that I need. The 3GS is still fast enough. For people with older models like normal 3G and down, would seriously recommend upgrading.
What a completely retarded statement! You obviously don't have an iphone! Also girls dig knowing that you are pro protection, you have more of a chance getting her with protection on than withoutOh, and you'll always win the "spot the dufus" at any party with your cover on your phone. Real men don't use covers on phones....it's GIRLY.

Most iphones have got covers on,and the people that dont are bloody stupid!
How is this a confirmation of a launch date? Date ? I see no date. Simply an assumption of when stock is "expected" to arrive. Do not trust anything Vodacom says, even if it is coming from the CEO. They have given us false promises in the past with this whole iPhone ordeal.
Why not save money and buy basically any of the other smartphones on the market, they all do the same thing![]()
If they don't fix it by then (or at least revert us back to 3.1 which worked beautifully) I will rather go for an HTC Desire.
Try turning off spotlight in settings apparently it makes a huge difference.I am patiently waiting for Apple to fix it before I am due for an upgrade. If they don't fix it by then (or at least revert us back to 3.1 which worked beautifully) I will rather go for an HTC Desire.
Here's an easy to use guide on how to downgrade to iOS 3.1.3. Hope it helps.
If it doesn't, then at least you get some experience hacking phones. As I understand it, with Android, that's going to be a daily occurrence.
My problem is that less and less apps will support 3.1 unless Apple makes that the official "last" OS the 3G.
The phones are really impressive and IMO the first phone to really compete with the iPhone (from my subjective point of view).
They had very little problems so far except for the one phone had to be reinstalled from scratch after he tried to upgrade to Android 2.2 while having internet connection problems. But then again, I had to go through that with my iPhone too after one install. With a backup it's irritating, but not a train smash.
I'm a technological "tolerant" user (I even managed to work with Vista for a year and accept and work around it's quirks), but this Phone is now pushing even my limits.

For now (as mentioned in the post after yours) I got back a bit of my phone by turning off spotlight. That is a real pity as spotlight was one of the features I used most since it's introduction. But I guess features such as phoning, answering phone calls, opening the phone book and sending text messages takes precedence above that!
One of my developers and my brother in law both have HTC Desires and I have had the opportunity to "play" extensively with both their phones. The phones are really impressive and IMO the first phone to really compete with the iPhone (from my subjective point of view).

And I know it's not isolated, I personally know a few (very unhappy) 3G owners and Apple's forum has a thread-naught of whining 3G users.
