Cut it some more, in fact I think I cut the actual chip by mistake, thought that was the end of it, and by bobs balls it works!

Its funny though because I actually had to cut into the chip which had me going :wtf:

Sherbert I just realised I didn't copy my contacts over to my sim

Is there a way or recovering them from an iPhone 3G backup?

Edit: I think I am actually just being lazy now, I am sure there is a way, not to worry I will google it

Thought it would but didn't. . . But I am doing a full restore now, so when that is done I am sure I can restore my backup from my 3G.

Well there is I've heard of but it's finnicky and you would most likely need to jailbreak etc etc.

So once youve restored your firmware, just right click iphone In iTunes, restore from backup, and selext your 3G backup

There's no way to copy contacts to sim without jailbreaking btw, although you might know that considering you were on a 3G before
