I hope someone can help me out here. I have a new iPhone 5 (purchased about 2 weeks ago) and the strangest thing happens - the screen flickers quite alot. It doesn't always happen, but when it does it is bad. I have searched online but can't find anything (other that the report of the keyboard flickering but my problem is different).

Just wondering if anyone else has had this happen to them and what they did to fix it? I will probably end up taking it back but there is no stock at the moment and when the new stock arrives, it will probably ship with the latest iOS which is not able to be jailbroken (I use a few Cydia Apps so a jailbreak is required). Hope someone out there can help me out here.

I have tried a hard reset ect but no luck.

Definitely a hardware issue. Your only option is to return the device, sorry.

Yeah I thought as much. At first I thought it mite be because the phone is new so the screen is "adjusting" (I tried to convince myself it was normal). I have had all the iPhones from the 2G and not once have I had an issue like this. So I suppose my only option is to return. But my luck when I take it, the screen won't flicker - as mentioned, it is not all the time but most of the time.

Take it back to the place you bought it, they will send it to CORE who will replace it with a new iPhone..
