My view... I really honestly like Samsung/Android. But ask yourself some of these questions...
First of all, how many of you actually use NFC that often?..
Secondly, is wireless charging really so much of a want? I mean, it is slower to charge your phone.. Plus it isn't that much of an effort to lean down and/or plug your phone in? Lazy?
Thirdly, does anyone really use all those little gimmicks e.g. Eye scrolling, screen swipe, screen hover (if I'm not mistaken). Even take Siri for example, no one really uses it... (For all the Apple haters
)
I mean sure, it would be nice to have a bigger screen. I personally wouldn't like such a big device in my pocket to next to my face, but it's opinion. Plus a have a tablet for that.
I really think the fingerprint scanner will do well as it is beautifully disguised and is in such a common place, it would be hard to forget/miss. I hate typing my pass code in every 2-3 minutes to check a message and reply etc.
For the camera.. Well I think it might be the right route. No offense, but most people can't take descent photos, like me, no matter how hard I try, doesn't look great
So why do we need such "super megapixel ish" e.g. Nokia Lumia 1020? If you really want to become a photographer use a DSLR camera. I only use my phone if I want to take a quick picture of my friends and I, a video of a birthday etc. I don't go sit with a tripod in the bush and take beautiful sunsets..
I really think Apple know how to make a solid phone, like the HTC One. I don't like a phone that doesn't feel solid in my hand. Plus the craftmanship gone into this phone is amazing. You pay for that "diamond cut edges" and metal look. That's why many women think the iphone looks "pretty", and yes it does.
Some of my relatives still have iPhone 4S's and there might be a freeze once in a while, but it still works, and it's great. I don't need an i7 tucked under my screen. I wouldn't know how to use it. To swipe to another page? Google? Play and animated game?..
My point is, it's just a phone, not a show off or supercomputer. I personally need it for quick snaps, phone calls, whatsapp and a couple games?.. I'm not going to control my life in the palm of my hands.
And sure there might be a "ooooh, aaahhh" feature in modern smartphones today, but most tend to not use it.
Oh and on more thing, please take this non iSheep or Apple Hater way. I don't even know why people judge and fight over such stupid things. Sure fight over governmental issues, crime, petrol prices, economy, hunger. But why bring such bitterness and so called "dick-ness" into this. People have such big mouths over the internet, but face to face, shy and small...
Don't hate, go do something useful with your life, rather then fight over a forum.

I believe it is because of unfriendly iTunes and the not so great iPhone 5s that I will not consider another iPhone when I upgrade in Feb 2014. Sad to say, I enjoy my iPhone but it is a waste to upgrade to 5s from 4s. I will give Apple a rest for the next 2 years and play with Android.

Isn't NFC similar to Wifi Direct?
Umm nope, NFC establishes the link. The software decides on the what to use (BT, Wifi Direct etc.)
1) You don't need iTunes any more. On board apps purchase is fine. Music via Simfy!
2) What does the Galaxy S4 offer above and beyond the S3?
3) Never bothered me.
Single biggest improvement on Desktop is support for more than 4 GB of memory. Obviously still a couple of years away from that amount of RAM in phones...
But yeah, I must say in this case it just feels like something that will fragment the apps in the store.

Except the bigger screen, higher resolution, bigger battery, faster processor and higher mp camera?
Typing that message reminded me of my single biggest issue with Apple. It's so flipping annoying to always type a lower case 'i' and then the next letter in upper case. It confuses SwiftKey. Don't confuse my SwiftKey

I don't get the hate for iTunes? I haven't used the windows version in a while but if it performs anything like how it does on my MBA then it it really isn't bad, in fact it is pretty simple and there isn't much you can't do with it. Everyone I know hates using Kies.
Apple will never win on MyBB. People here focus on quantitative, Apple focuses on qualitative. If they felt a 13MP camera was better than the 8MP one it has now I am pretty sure they would have put it in.

The "Apple = quality" argument is not a valid one anymore.
iTunes is just another media player - one I happen to dislike. I prefer WMP believe it or not. What irks me is that because I have an iPad I need that thing installed on my machine to interface with the laptop. I know there might be ways around it but all I really want to do is plug in my USB and copy ****.
