Exactly which blinkers are you referring to?

The only blinkers I see here are ones being worn by yourself, which transmute only a handful of extreme cases into facts about flaws impeding everyday and front pocket use.

I know from experience that I should outright ignore the aggressive style you use to try and bury a point of view but I will reply anyway, purely because I do like the discussion and think that my profession gives me the knowledge needed to understand the defect in the design.

I am not going to repeat anything that I have already typed on this and the other thread, instead I will let you find that information for yourself.

But since you keep asking.

Now that I have given you some links, do me a favour and show your own intellect as well as ability to use google (or whtever you prefer to what you obviously see as the enemy) in future.
The defect in your searching ability is disturbing.

Anyway, if you would like to hold a mature and intelectual discussion with me you are welcome to do so, otherwise I will not respond :)

Now on a lighter note, Will it Blend? :D

But the Bendgate dillema got coverage from many respectable tech sites like TomsGuide and Cnet etc.

Why does it happen?

Many have suggested that the reason why the iPhone 6 Plus suffers more readily than other smartphones of similar size and/or construction is to do with the chassis design. As we’ve already said, the 6 Plus’ unibody is predominantly aluminium, a relatively malleable metal. Meanwhile rival devices that have shown resistance to the effects of Bendgate like the Galaxy Note 3 (which has still proven to bend) and Mototola Moto X employ stronger magnesium alloy chassis on the inside.

Both the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Alpha have aluminium frames so it will be interesting to see how it pan out in these bend tests.

Thank you for taking the time. Envious of your Googling skills, you must have sifted through at least the first page and a half of results. ;)

Every single link refers to the exact same video and two photos/posts, nothing concrete about design flaws, everyday use, etc.

So the question is, why are we making it out as if it is a fact that the iPhone 6 Plus is doomed?

My guess is that the following factors play a role:
1. The type of aluminium alloy used. You get stronger types, but they are heavier and might not be as suitable for phones.
2. The design itself. A phone made from a light aluminium alloy will bend/snap in the middle where the frame have the volume etc buttons on the side. Either put those buttons/dials/whatever towards the top or bottom, or re-inforce the frame at those points.
(ja ja ja I know my spelling sux. :) )

If I have my facts in order then the Note 4 chassis is based on the Alpha chassis, thus in a sense it can be a very interesting comparison as with the iPhone 6 vs. iPhone 6 Plus bend testing. Then there is also the Galaxy Note Edge with a one cornered curved display. The only concept which draws my attention here with the new bend tests are the possible implementations with design standards and practices for smart devices.

So if you put your phone in your back pocket and wear a bluetooth headset, does that mean you're talking out your ass?

"OMG --- Apple is doomed! DOOMED I tell you. People are bending their phones. Millions and millions of them. They drive with them in their pockets - and they bend. They dance with them - they bend. They bend over, and yes, they bend. They LOOK at them - and they bend. They stress-test them by applying brute force with their BARE hands, and they bend. Oh the humanity! DOOMED I tell you.... But wait - there is a solution: I could buy a plastic S4. OMG! I am saved - why have something built from metal and glass, that could bend, if I can have plastic that won't. It's perfect. Because, as a former Apple sheeple, I cannot think for myself in any event - so breaking out of the iOS straitjacket, will allow me to think on my own! You know, cos as a sheeple, I couldn't - so I would just keep on sitting on my phone, bending it. Rejoice. Rejoice. No more design-flaws for me -- SAMMY's, here I come!!"

I asked in the S4 thread if anyones S4 had bent, none of them have bent.

And the initial iPhone 6's weren't bent by hand, don't be silly.
