iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus announced

I wonder how long Apple will continue with its current naming convention, iPhone 4, 5, 6 will they go up to 10?

I'm not too sure about the iPhone being split into 2 segments, before there was one definite standard, now there will be two, anyway prepare to part with your money folks.
 
I think Apple has realized that it has lost the "power user" market to Android and is trying to get it back using the plus iPhone.

My initial impression is that for this generation they have caught up to match Samsung's S5, LG's G2 and Sony Z2. but just a hair behind the Note 4, LG G3 and the new Z3 Compact. who know, maybe the iphone plus will have half decent battery life.

Pity about the massive top and bottom bezel, its really going to make the phones unwieldy.

The choice now comes down to software really.

*edit, the iphone 6 plus does sound a lot like a crappy samsung phone naming convention. I predict next year we get an "iphone 6C plus zoom active"

Dual core, 1GB RAM, and 8MP camera. 2011 Phone specs?

That 128GB storage will be perfect for leaked nudes.
 
Apple seems so behind the competition. Other phones have had larger screens, better cameras (albeit without the slow-motion stuff), NFC, etc. for ages. And they finally got a smartwatch now.

Nobody can really claim that Apple innovates anymore.

They never ever did. They steal and refine.
 
As someone who's been on the phablet bandwagon from the very start ... from the original Samsung Note up to the Nokia 1520 .. I am now very happy with my new very small iPhone 5S. Small is the new big for me. The small iPhone 5S plus the iPad Mini is a killer combo.

Interesting how you use different platforms and form factors over time. You've covered the complete spectrum, more or less.

I wonder what will be next.
